I have 3.5GB of .mov videos on a Win 2003 server in my shed and I want to sit on my sofa using a Compaq M300 laptop P3 500mhz with 346mb ram and a Belkin wireless G card. At the moment I get the audio about 10 to 20 seconds ahead of the video. Is it possible somehow? I can successfully do this with a much faster Acer laptop but my wife has requisitioned this and anyway I like a challenge.
Thanks for any help
Frank

It would depend on the type of MOV files they are. If they are recent then they are probably H264, and your M300, quaint as it is, simply doesn't have the grunt to view them properly.
A simple test would be to copy a file to your HDD and play it from there. If it plays fine then it may be a streaming or network issue. If it doesn't then you are simply SOOLRead my blog here.
