  1. Hi,

I have a problem with my WD320SD-01KNB0 drive. It all works fine, except for the fact that when attempting to install a windows partition on it, it's not recognised[it doesn't appear in the list of drives to be installed on]. It also doesn't show up in software like 'Seagate Disc Wizard' whereas my other drives, both WD amd SG do.I have tried reformatting the drive in Windows and changing the cable but it doesn't make any difference. Any suggestions anyone?

Did the drive come with a setup disc? Or was it barebones? Seagate's disc wizard is only compatible with Seagate or Maxtor drives. You may have to see if WD has tools available on their website to format the drive to NTFS, and set the partitions that you want. Or pay for Acronis or another program.
