I'm trying to create a motion menu in DVDLab Pro. Basically, I want video and audio to play in the background, and a few buttons and text in the foreground.

The problem I'm having is this: When I compile the dvd or test the menu functionality in DVDLab Pro, all text disappears. The only way I can get the text to remain visible, is to link the text to the movie...turning it into a button. This would not be a problem, however, when I use text buttons, the text always turns out very blurry and hard to read. I thought I could avoid this by using a simple rectangle as a button, and just type some text beside it. It may work, but for some reason the text does not stay visible.

Does anyone out there have any clue as to how I can place text in my menu without it vanishing?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

When are you rendering your motion? Are the text, stills and everything else in place before you render?

It seems I had this problem once before as well, but I'd tried to put the text on top of menu that I'd already made into a motion menu.

Blow out your motion menu and build another with everything you want. Then render the whole thing to a motion menu. See what happens.

You have to use "Render Motion" if you make a motion menu with text, otherwise text will not be visible after compile.
Use some simple fonts for them to stay sharp.

Thanks to you both for the help. I was skipping the Render Motion step. Everything is working fine now, and I have my menu just like I want it.

    Thanks again
