  1. Hi:

    I have this config:
    ASUS A7V133 + Athlon 1.4 GHz
    384MB RAM
    Pinnacle DC30+ capture card

I recently upgraded my ol' SB live value card for
a brand new SBlive x-gamer 5.1 card (dolby digital decoder)
but the capture card stopped working .
Has anybody had the same problem?
    does anyone know a solution?

    regards,
    cesar

no clue as to what your problem is,

but is the sblive 5.1 and the 5.1+mp3 and all those any physically different from the original sblive1024?

    isn't the difference in software?

    thanks
    THIS IS HARDCORE

  3. As far as I know, they're different.
the sblive 5.1 card series have a dolby decoder
that it's not available in the others SBlive cards.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that I made it work under Win2000, but DC30+ sucks there. I'm still fighting to make it work under Win98SE.

I've got back to SBlive value, and works again .
could it be a definitive incompatibility issue?

I have exactly the same as you. DC30Plus and Soundblaster 5.1. and no problems.

It works fine as well in WIN98SE and WIN2K.

First. Make sure you download the latest driver for both the DC30 and 5.1. The DC30 drivers work under 98 and 2K.

Soundblaster - you need to ensure you download versions for both operating systems.

I would suggest your problem lies in an IRQ conflict which is causing the cards to clash.

I don't know much about the GAMER card though. Not tried that.
