Hi,
How can I fix the AR of a movie?
Right now, I have two options:
1# Can temporary force MPC to change it.
2# Can load it into Vdub, apply a filter and re-encode it.
Both options are obviously completely unacceptable. There got to be a quick and easy way to fix this without any quality lose right?
The file is WMV3 codec. Its a shame gspot only shows you the data and does not let you override it...

You can try the wmvarchanger for wmv type files
It's originally from DVB Portal website, but the link seems down ATM...
wmvarchanger-1.0.0.zip -
I already tried that tool... could not detect the AR, and when I went to apply a new one it did nothing.

unfortunately wmv is a propietary closed format; not much support for it
You can easily change the container signalling with other formats (e.g. .mp4, .mkv, even .avi), but none of them support .wmv because of it's proprietary nature -
