    How do I remove soft subs from a mkv video and reformat it as a avi or mpeg video without the subs?

    Easiest is just to reconvert it to avi or mpg using xvid4psp. The subs should not be added.

    If xvid4psp wont work you can try super, avidemux, winff.

    If you don't want to reconvert then give us more details about the mkv, use mediainfo and open the mkv, change to view->text and paste the info here.
