    Hi all,

Does anyone know about any open source good tool/engine which can convert all video formats to others?
And gives out good quality video?

    Thanks,
    TrupsT

    ffmpeg, mencoder

These would cover most common formats, as well as many not so common.

There are also plenty of GUI front-ends to remove the need to learn lots of esoteric command line functions when doing the more common things.

  3. Yes, like mine I would have recommended ffmpeg, too. And I had begun writing my own GUI before there were any good ones or I just havent found WinFF or AVANTI. So I created SmartFFmpeg which is worth trying as well since it might have features the others don't have.

No ads, no money, no registration. Just freeware

PS: The page itself is in german but the tool is English
