hello i have a bought dvd that im trying to backup but it has a bad bit on the disc
clonedvd will copy it but when i try to write is says file size to large (maybe something to do with the retries)
and yes i selected the correct settings as i have been using it for a long time..
I can also get an image of the disc with imgburn after a few retries but no errors but the filesize is to big
so how do i get an imgburn image (6.9 gig) to dvd files reducing it at the same time or reducing it after as long as i end up with dvd files (VIDEO_TS)

Try dvdfab hd decrypter and rip to the hdd or an iso and see if it works better.
You can shrink image/isos using dvd shrink. -
if you shrink 6.9 gig that is about %60 compression you won't get good quality playback. Use a DL dvd.
