I was capturing from a vhs tape to dvd, using my dvd recorder. The video tape is old, and the vcr i am using, JVC HR-S7600U, has a function called "video calibration". I had that turned on, and when it got to a bad part of the tape, the vcr turned that function on. On the screen, it said "calibrating video" or something. I know that virtualdub has a filter to remove network logos. Can i use such a filter to remove the text "calibrating video" from the screen, or would it be difficult?

    thanks

You can use these filters to turn the text into a pixelly blur, but unlikely to really remover it. Do a search through the forums for delogo and you will find several posts that have lots of details and discussions
