You are the man. I did not know you knew so much about anything i would talk about. You are amazing. Virtualis is like the maker of video, he is "the one."

Sefy- man do u know your words and ur dvd ripping guides. U are the only person which i used ur guide on dvd ripping. Not that i'm selfish but i have known you on here for quite a while and ur newbiw dvd ripping guide is just ASTONISHING. Way to go! Sefy also offers more help in these forums too, he is very well educated in dvd ripping as far as i am concerned but so are a lot of other members here as well.

Baldrick-
I know we dont get to, or at least i dont see it that much, see u post or reply as often as others here but i gotta say, 2 thumbs up 100% cuz this site is #1 and it dont matter if u like it or not...(nelly), anyways--
Baldrick, this site is the best for video help and no one can take it from you. There are too many members here who will stay here and thats just great.

It has been a long time sicne i ever seen u reply back to my topics but hey, u still hangin here so cheers up to you.

I go with Sean too.
I started as a newbie exactly 13moths ago (last year in January).
I knew nothing about DV, and look where I'm standing now : creating about 3MPeG's a week... I've developped a GUI to VCDimager and thanks to this development I now know more about (S)VCD than I ever could imagine.
But all this whisdom started here at VCDhelp. Thanks to all the rich information, the links, the guides, the tips and naturely the Forum's I now am 'home' in the DV community.
Now it's me who is helping people who wants to start DV-editing via the PC (my collegues at work - the Forum's at this site and at the other site for DV).

I don't ask too many question's on here basically because I dont have to.
All the problems I have encountered have been answered by a search and there have only been a few that haven't been totally answered but there was enough information to put the pieces together myself.
(I kinda enjoy working things out the hard way....Gives better satisfaction,plus I think if you have done it the hard way it sticks in your head better...)

My 2 Cents:
Sean Madison in previous posts has threatened to "F**K" member bbb up and also threatened to "KILL" bbb mainly because Sean didn't like what bbb had to say about Sean. Moderator Adam even commented on the situation and eventually agreed with member bbb. I only mention this because of Sean's latest post, which I absolutely agree with though. However, knowing the past of this individual raises my curiousity. He has threatened members, made ridiculous claims of encoding methods, and now, sings songs of praise to all those who he was going to prove wrong and himself right, which of course didnt happen.

I don't know if I speak for all the Moderators or Guide Writers here, but I do speak for me, i'm not looking for ass kissing or flatterers or whatever, but it is nice once in awhile to hear a user say thank you.

I don't know if the users reliease it, but writing a guide or being a moderator isn't all that fun, and being appriciated and not just hearing complaints is a nice change.

yeah writing, being a moderator, or hosting the site, actually can suck. Especially when you get the increased traffic that ya all have experienced of late.

I agree more people need to show their appreciation. Its like when I make a night deposit at my bank I always write something nice on the deposit envelope a thank you, have a nice day, etc. The people actually recognize my name when I come in and I've had a few tell me how nice it is to see my deposits because most people never say a word unless they have a problem.

I think that's due to our social conditioning. Think about it, as long as you do your job majority of bosses never say anything, but you screw up they jump right in on you, but it even starts earlier then that, go back to school and growing up.

Anyway, I did sincerely mean my thanks to everyone. I enjoy learning, finding new ways to do things, and reading other peoples opinions on things. You guys definitely assist in that avenue.
