I have a PS3 and an Xbox 360 that I screw mkv files to through TVersity. I am trying to figure out the simplest way to get them to stream to both with best sound and picture possible. For the PS3 I am currently using Mkv2vob and just transcoding it to mpg and it seems to play fine on the PS3 and I can fast forward and rewind. From what I reading though the Xbox can only read MP4. I just downloaded GOTSent and it seems like it could be the one stop program for all my needs. Just had a few questions about what the PS3 and Xbox 360 can support as far as file types and audio setups.

For GOTSent in the Target box there is PS3 (5.1), Xbox 360, and PS3 (2.0). What is the different between selecting these? They all output MP4 correct?

Do I only need to check Re-encode to: if a file that I just converted doesn't work? Does re-encoding these lose or gain quality of picture?

Does the Fit to option actually compress the video or does it just break it up into different parts? By making a 1080p file that is around 8GB fit to a 4.5GB file, how much quality is actually lost?

With the Mux to Vob option, does it touch video quality or is really the only point to making it a Vob is for 5.1 sound?

Can the PS3 or Xbox not play video files larger than 4GB? I was just played a video file that I converted to mpg and it was 4.64.

Sorry for all the questions
