I simply sell the tvs, I wasn't aware I had to do tech support for them...
Basically, I have one customer who is having a probelm with her LCD, she's gonna call my store back any day.
Her Magnavox LCD 40" displays a pop-up box that she says, "comes and goes". It says "INDV 4396" but the last four numbers she says changes every couple of seconds.
It sounds to me like the cable company, but she says on her other tv, it never appeared. She called the cable company and they said it's not our fault, she also called Magnavox, they also gave her the run-around.
I made her reset the factory settings and I told her I would look into it, figuring stupidly, that I woud find at least someone else with this probelm. To my dismay, this is not the case.
Any suggestions as to what the hell is wrong with it, are very much appreciated![]()

Let her return it (if it's within policy). You help her out now, she's going to rely on you for tech support every time anything happens (especially when the cable company "Not My Fault"s her).
At least you'll be able to check it out at your store. At the very least, she should bring it in, since, as you said, you're not tech support for Magnavox. I used to sell electronics, and almost the exact thing happened. Turns out it was the cable company's fault (though they denied it).
