    Hi all, I am relatively new to this. I am looking for a basic software tool (preferrably free) that allows a MPEG-2 stream be transmitted over to a UDP sink (where you can enter ip address, port #, etc.), similar to the metaVR (http://www.metavr.com/products/vrsg/vrsgnew5.html). Many thanks in advance.

    VLC player can do it, but you'll have to look for the documentation on the specifics
