Excuse me, but I ain't the only one disliking Vista. Read the DOZENS of other posts and threads on this site. And yes, I'm still blaming the operating system because these programs worked fine until microsoft mucked about with the operating system.

Listen you insulting and condescending moron, if you have nothing useful to add to a discussion don't come onto a thread just to show that you 'think' you know it all and to spew out crap.

You still do not get it. XP was lambasted for it's security holes. Microsoft needed to do a rewrite of the operating system so that it could be more secure. They based Vista off of server 2003. There were new strategies implemented, such as the virtual registry.

Microsoft needed to change the coding habits of third party programmers. They needed a shift away from where you needed to be an administrator to do basic things. They put together a list of programs that would not run properly on the new operating system because of the increased focus of security and your programs were in that group.

This is not Microsoft's fault, as they get blamed for everything.

As someone who has used Vista since it has been released, service pack 1 fixed the problems that people were complaining about. We again come to the part that you did not bother to find out what was compatible and you are spreading FUD. Ahead released versions of Nero that would work with Vista. Cyberlink released a version of powerdvd that would work with Vista. Instead of buying compatible software, you choose to not have a leg to stand on, and complain with baseless accusations. Point the finger of blame where it belongs. It should be pointed at you.
Believing yourself to be secure only takes one cracker to dispel your belief.
