  1. Is there any way to determine the size of a file produced by AutoGK in single pass mode i.e. Target Quality 75% etc, so that I can ensure that it doesn't exceed the 2GB limit?

The length of the film has nothing much to do with anything. It's how well it compresses and the resolution you use that determines the file size for the percentage you use. Yes, 75% is a good number and will give you good quality. If you know how to make an AviSynth script, then you can add this to the bottom and then encode it yourself to get a rough idea of how large the final size will be:

    SelectRangeEvery(400,20)

That says for every 400 frames, take 20 (5%). By encoding a quick 5% at a quant 2.5 (roughly 75%) and taking the size you get and multiplying it by 20, you'll get a ballpark figure for the final video size. Add in the audio and a few MB for the overhead to get an idea of the final AVI size. Of course, if you knew how to do all that then you'd have no need for AutoGK, would you?

With practice you should get a pretty good idea of the final sizes of the movies before you do them. If they're noisy or grainy, brightly lit, action packed, or fullscreen, then they'll tend to be much larger than movies that are clean, dark, relatively static, and very widescreen (for a given width). But probably over 90% of the movies you do will be under your 2GB limit
