I downloaded a movie and after unrar and unpack from bin, it turns into 5 folders:

    Cdi - no content
    Ext - contains 2 xxx.vcd files
    Mpegav - contains 1 large xxx.dat file of 400MB
    Segment - no content
    Vcd - contains 4 xxx.vcd files

Can anybody give me an idea how to view the movie on the computer?
Is it necessary to burn it first?

I'm a newbie and thanks in advance for your guidance.

  2. Either you burn the bin to a cd and then it should get a VCD/CD-I or you try to open the dat file with the windows media player as it should be a mpeg1 file

What you should ideally do. Is go to the TOOLS page and download VCD GEar gui. This will let you convert the .dat file back to an Mpeg. Then follow the instructions under the AUTHOR heading and burn your VCD back out using the Mpeg file, and oyu could disregard the other files and file structure.

Or, you can burn the bin file directly using CDR Win, etc. See under AUTHOR
