I like to get a capture card for my computer that will also export out to a VCR. However, the ones I am looking at (like the ATI All in Wonder for example) seems to require that the audio be looped from the capture card to the sound card and then out to the VCR. Which is not that bad execpt that what if your sound card does not have both line in and line out jack?

  2. yea i have a all in wonder card and yea you gota do all that @#$% looping from the Sound Card back into the Videocard

well i think there is an "internal" solution to that

im not a tech wizard but i remember taking my tower to my boss where he just internally connected the two boards together

but i sugesst askin your "technical" friends take a look at it

oh geez and about your audio jacks and stuff ATI i think should have adapters so the Vidcard and take audio jacks in and capture and THEN that loop goes to the sound card so you can hear it.

but overall i think ATI is a good card to get

I have downloaded the owner's guide for the ATI All in Wonder card and it shows that the while the audio/video from an outside source is inputed via RCA plugs, only the video output is via RCA plug. The audio has to loop into and then out of the sound card. It has nothing about doing the sound any other way. Unless you mean the CD in and out connections on the AIW board? But, I thought that was for something else.

  4. yea i guess since we are talking about a "VIDEO" capture card and the quality of your sound will depend on the quality of your sound card.
