I have a video file in Quicktime MOV format. I need to know the framerate of this video before I can convert it to DVD (as I need to manually input whether if it's PAL or NTSC). Does anyone know any software where I can load in a Quicktime video and get its properties such as frame rate? All the software I've tried will only work on other video formats but not on MOV.

    Thanks

Once you have the QT video open in QT Player, "get info" and that window will display the info you require.

Hi! I signed up, so that this is up to date. Once a .mov film has been opened in Quick Time 7 Pro (which currently 9-10-12 gives more options than 10) you want to click the 'window' tab and then "Show Movie Inspector" (FYI on Mac or Apple based software "inspector" is often synonymous for "info" or "properties") In the movie inspector window you should see the frame rate. FYI for those of us in audio - we need the exact frame rate -even if it's something as simple as "Drop" or "Non-Drop".
