Hey, long time reader, first time poster.
I recently got a Canon XL2, which I am not unfamiliar with, but I have made a slew of material over the past few days just testing different settings on the camera. Anyways, I am editing with Final Cut Pro and when I capture my video there is a progressive delay on the audio when I play it back. It isn't just one quick fix, because the audio gets further and further behind as the video plays. I have never encountered this problem before, and it seems like it does it just whenever it wants to. I cannot find a difference in any settings from when it has a delay or when it doesn't.
Here's the info:
Shooting in 16:9, 16-bit audio, 24p with 2:3:3:2, NTSC.
Capturing in 1280 x 720, Advanced (2:3:3:2) Pulldown Removal, 29.97 fps, 16-bit, 48 kHz.
Sequence settings are 1280 x 720, 29.97 fps, 16-bit, 48 kHz.
Please, any help would be appreciated. This problem is driving me absolutely insane. Thanks in advance.
