I have been using hjsplit with no problems at all...and now all of the sudden it isn't joining .avi files right. I verify the input files size compared to the output file size and they match up..but the output file doesn't contain the last of the movie. However; the last avi file(before using hjsplit to join) in the series(usually just two input files that I have to join) plays all the way through to the end with no problems. Any help? If any other info is needed..let me know and I will tell what I can...I just can not figure it out.
As an example from my above posted problem. I am trying to join the movie The Bourne Identity. I have two files renamed to use hjsplit with extensions of .avi.001 and .avi.002. One file is 716,598kb and the other file is 716,430..after combining the output file is 1,433,028kb..however I only have 52:50 minutes(which is not the whole length of the movie) of actual video before the end of the file. Any ideas?
thanks

Was the avi splitted using hjsplit? If not then it wont work that well because hjsplit just "copies" the movie together and does not change the header in the avi file, so the video players will just "see" the first bit.
Try instead join with virtualdubmod or avidemux. -
I will give it a try...thanks for your input..I learned something new.
By the way...are there any jobs in Sweden for an American???just curious...always wanted to travel there.
