Is your version of DVDFab updated? How recently was the DVD released? Some newer discs use revised copy protection schemes that may take the Fab guy a little time to overcome. Sooner or later, you'll be able to back up the disc you own -- unless it is defective. Just make sure your DVDFab version is up to date.

If DVDFab HD Decrypter won't do it, not sure what the problem might be. If it's a Sony disc, probably ARccOS protection, not CSS. But Fab should still be able to rip it. Maybe a damaged disc or just a very new form of protection.

i dont think its new because the movie im trying to copy is THE INCREDIBLES
and it came out 2004 so i dont know what the problem is?

i just tried dvd decrypter but everything i try seems to fail at 36 percent!

what else would you recommend me doing?

It may be a damaged disc. Look over the surface carefully. If it has any large scratches, that might be the problem. If it's smudged, try washing it off with a mild soap and water and drying it with a soft paper towel. Sorry, I can't come up with much else. It doesn't sound like a decryption problem if the disc has been on the market that long.

Try a different drive. LG's are better readers of marginal and/or protected discs than Lite-on's, in my experience. To put it another way, when my Lite-on craps out with RCC errors, my LG almost invariably reads the disc OK. Sometimes it's very slow, which the LG is capable of doing, and it could take several minutes to get past a bad spot on the disk or a particular protection scheme.

You can also pop 'The Incredibles' into the search box up there ^^^ and find threads from when it was a new movie...Some folks copied it using good old DVD Decrypter.
