  1. My son got a MP4 player today ... the free software (MTVVideoConverter_V1.12.11.3) doesn't work.

    Can anyone help with a free converter for

    avi to mtv
    mpg to mtv
    wmv to mtv

    etc.

    Thanks .. I am running out of paracetamol with his moaning.

    You need to g-spot or mediainfo a known working file to find out exactly how it is encoded. I suspect it is an AMV offshoot (maybe even AMV with a different extension).   3. I am still having problems.

    I have d/l Winavi and tried a couple of avi's but on the mp3 player it comes up as unknow format.

    I did manage to get one wmv ro convert to mtv and work ok, but the next one would not work.

    My kup. I have been trying many different converters.

    Anyone got any ideas.
