I use windows 98 2nd edition i also have the tmpeg encoder as well as the EO converter...sometimes in the middle of encoding, i get an illegal ops message and i have to shut the whole thing down. any suggestions???? Try to strip the audio from the video using virtualdub.
Save audio as wav and then encode your video using the wav file.
If you are not familiar with using virtualdub click on convert to the left of this page and click on divx to vcd should work for you.
