    Hi all.

I am using a TV card (Hauppauge PVR 500MCE) in WinXP MCE which requires a 'video decoder' software to be installed on the computer.

Can anyone guide me as to where I can download and install it? (I dont know what a video decoder is).

    Thanks and regards.

The Hauppage web site might be a good place to start :P

Try this link for the Media Center Driver - not sure if that is what you are looking for.

  3. You need an MPEG2 decoder. You should be able to use ffdshow.

    Hi friends.
Just wanted to thank you for your advice.

The problem got solved as I came to know that by installing any DVD playing software, I would be automatically installing a video decoder into my system.

I installed WinDVD 7 and solved my problem.

    Regards.
