I use Premiere Pro 1.5 to edit my videos for YouTube.
I want to use another software such as WinFF or virtualdub to convert my video into another format.

My source is standard definition miniDV NTSC 720 x 480 widescreen mode.

Is the following the correct method of getting the original quality video out of Premiere Pro uncompressed?

    1.) File > Export > Movie
    2.) Click "settings"
3.) Under "General" - File type: choose "Microsoft DV AVI"
    4.) Under video:
    - choose "DV(NTSC)"
    - Frame size: 720 x 480 v 16x9
    - Pixel Aspect Ratio: D1/DV NTSC Widescreen 16:9 (1.2)
    - uncheck "limit data rate to __" and uncheck "recompress"
6.) Under Keyframe and Rendering, check "deinterlace" and "optimize stills".
    7.) Click OK

Note: I will let the WinFF or virtualdub change the pixel aspect ratio to 1:1 and the video to 640 x 360.

Also, does it matter whether Premiere Pro or another software such as WinFF does the deinterlacing"

Or you could install the Debugmode Frameserver and serve directly out of Premiere to virtualdub without an intermediate encode.

Understand that DV is compressed - at a ratio of approx 5 : 1. What you want to avoid, if possible, is re-encoding. This is dependent on what you have done in Premiere. Any footage you have applied filters to will be re-encoded. Any titles, any stills, and transitions etc will also be re-encoded.

Would I let premiere deinterlace ? No. I would do that in avisynth, which has superior deinterlacing methods.

I am using Debugmode frameserver now but I have to deal with choosing RGB24 and RGB32 and I have not idea what these are.

If I use the settings given in the original post, will my video be compressed?
I can also choose "Microsoft AVI" rather than "Microsoft DV AVI" when exporting movie. When I choose "Microsoft AVI", I can choose "none" as the compressor. So will this give me an uncompressed video?
    Which is the better option?
