    Back in 2004 I labeled a few DVDs. After a few weeks the DVDs got unreadable, of course.
    Just last week I threw one of these dead disks into my new standalone - and it started to play fine.
    So I scanned 3 of these once dead disk with Neroīs speed disk. And all came out Green.
    I even put them in my very old DVD Standalone, same that didnīt play them back in 2004. Surprise, they all played well now.

    Is there any logical, chemical or whatever explanation for that ?
    Anyone else beeing surprised with that behaviour ?

    Consider it a Christmas miracle.

    Okay, maybe the chemical structure of the adhesive changed over time and the labels fused tighter to the disc surfaces....but I prefer the miracle theory.

    Probably just the use of a better player for marginal discs.
