I'm using save2pc standard to download video clips from YouTube and saving them as a .mpg file. The file loads and plays fine in WMP, hoever when I load it in Vegas Pro, the the video is ok, but the audio is there, but gone. Meaning that when I drag it from the media manager down to the timeline, it creates separate video and audio tracks, but the audio in the audio track has no waveform present nor is there any sound. This happens with several files I've pulled form Youtube. Again, it will play fine (with sound) in WMP (ver 11). Any ideas as to what I can do to fix?

  2. use firefox and downloadhelper to save the .flv or .mp4 files straight from youtube. there is no reason to convert them to mpg and then convert them again in vegas. the end result would be unwatchable.

Thanks for4 the info. I used firefox and dlhelper and I get a .flv. But vegas won't read the .flv Is there a way to get vegas to read it or do I need to convert the .flv to something else?
