  1. using FAVC i converted an av1 movie file. i got the output as seperate audio and video files.but the video is 2 hrs plus where the audio is just 35 mnts. again i opted the target folder in e: where as i got only blank folders there with titles dvd1 etc. i got the converted files in my documents folder. i have checked with some other files aslo. sometimes i get only video files. sometimes i get seperate audio and video files. wht is wrong with it? i preferred hcencoder after making necessary options as ntsc, audio as ac3 192(aften-encode as),then fixing the target file size, i went to converting the files. i am not able to lower the bitrate from 4000. is it default in favc?

Use gspot to check if audio is variable.

If so, try opening the clip in virtualdub, ignore warning, set audio to full processing, compression to raw, conversion to 44100khz, 16bit, stereo, save as wav

    Check new wavs length.

Audacity could also be used to extract and save audio stream.

  3. i opened an av1 file in favc.for conversion as dvd video. the target size was fixed as 2000mb. the target folder was G: the temp folder was D:my documents. i could not reduce the video bitrate below 4000 so adopted. the encoder was slected as HCenc. since the file's FPS was 23.976 NTSC was selected. when done it was seen in the target folder that the file has great audio video syn problem. when i checked the temp folder at D:my documents folder, there was two files one audio and another video. why this happened. when i selected the target folder, the output should be there. isint it?

another instant, i tried to convert a 701 mb av1 file with favc-HCenc-which was 01 hour 28 min length. when checked the target folder in G; i found a file with only 56 min length.(it was only 1.34 gb) when checked the temp folder in D:my documents there was audio video seperated files of equal length. (together it was 2.20 gb).this demultiplexed files i could use in dvd lab and could compile. why this happened? i want the perfectly converted file in the target folder only.
in brief favc sometimes gives me perfect files and sometimes don't. plz instruct. thanks.
