Ok I have a N82 and the video capture is pretty good so aditionally to capturing most home movies with my sony DV camera i also captured some with the phone which is MP4 format, I assumed it would be 30fps as stated but it seems mybe upto, as some of the files report low frame rates like 14fps etc the files still look good and play fine as the MP4 but now I need to convert these to go on to DVD with the the other DV tape the problem is the frame rat when I convert them with tmpeg DVDAuthor - some (with the low frame rate) look dreadful jerky and dropped frames almost unwatchable but the original files as MP4 play fine although report low fps, is there a way to change the reported fps to make it come out better or another why to convert them ?

    thanks

I have found a little more info on my travels, the fps I get from VideoLan and windows, but Ive just looked at the same files with GSPOT and it gives me differnt fps which is more likely like at 27fps rather than 5fps, considering the mp4 is clear and not jerky, wondering if this is where the error is occuring will try another QT codec

    Sorted it, thanks

for anyone else interested in tmpeg when adding the source you can chnage the frames per second and even analise the clip the get the true average this then works a treat, not seen that before although ive used tmpg for years this my first time converting mp4 to dvd.
