Anyone familiar with Panasonic NV-SD230 Super Drive Multi System VHS VCR. Theres one available from Australia with a missing figure 8 powercord. Its going for around AU $20 (approx $16 CDN) and was hoping to use it to playback my German VHS tapes. I would have the output fed into my videocard to capture to MPEG4.
Can you tell me if i would have any problems with this multi system vcr for my plans such as:
1. Can it playback the german VHS tape?
2. Will the PAL videosignal be readable by any old standard videocard (made in North America) with composite input?
3. Will the missing figure 8 powercord be an issue? I think i can find a replacement for $6 but i dont want to have to deal with 220V / 110V issues too.
Thanks for any info.
