    ok here is my problem....

I attempted to convert a divx to svcd
There was a stream writing error.
the output file was like 4GBs... no audio... the movie video track converted fine, but after the end of it the vid track had like 2hrs of a black screen... So i then de-multiplexed... i have that vid track and i manged to extract and fix the audio track into an uncompressed PCM wave file... Now i want to multiplex them using BBMPG... the problem is BBMPG only uses MP1, MP2, MPA, and (NOT wav files)... i've tried to use TMPGEnc to multiplex but the file it creates is useless... (won't even open)

Anyways to make a long story short i need to find a good mp2 encoder... I can't find a good one anywhere. I know QDesign makes a good one but i can't find a demo anywhere... i was wondering what ppl use to make mp2 files...

  2. Download it from http://www.mnsi.net/~jschlic1/. It is called WAV2MP and it is command line encoder.

But you could also use TMPGEnc for this purpose. Just choose Audio Only in Strem Type and only pick audio input file. and then in setting you will see only audio tab where you can set various options.

  4. All the MPEG-1 video encoders will encode audio to MPEG-1 Layer 2 as well (e.g., TMPGEnc, Pansonic, LSX, etc.)

It has been reported that TMPGEnc's audio encoder is of questionable quality... however, you can use tooLame as a plug-in for TMPGEnc.
