Ok, here's a (somewhat dumb) hypothetical question that I thought some of you guys might be able to tackle.
I have an opportunity to get a 43" HDTV at a fantastic price... only problem is, I literally don't watch TV. However, the thought of using it to play 43" Return to Castle Wolfenstein highly appeals to me.
I do have an ATI All in Wonder 128 Pro, which has a composite TV out (I'm not entirely sure but it might even have a S-video out port). So it is theoretically possible...
But will the resolution suck dog balls like most TV's-used-as-monitors? Or will the fact that it's a HDTV affect that in a positive manner?
Thanks in advance for your input.

Sorry -- won't do you any good. Even if you have S-video, it's formatted for NTSC (read: "regular") TVs. Your HDTV image will only be as good as the signal sent to it.

That's right ! The TV output from ATI card won't help much in quality, but what you can do is use a VGA-to-Component Video converter and convert the VGA into component video which will give you near HDTV results. Every single HDTV has component video inputs.
