    hello,
i have problem with Standalone DVD player- LG DZ9711P
I wanted to play film which has audio channel "ENGLISH DTS ES 6.1" (and also has AC3 Channels and they play with no problems)
i tried to play on JVC and Samsung tvs but turned no result

I also found "DTS" alongside MPEG and AC3 in the setting menu of the DVD player i think it means DVD player should recognize this type of channel.
any suggestions whats wrong and how to solve this problem are appreciated

Some DVD players cannot decode DTS. Your player is probably like this. These players have to send DTS to a receiver and the receiver decodes and plays the DTS audio.

I did a web search on your DVD player and I found only a few matches. None were in English. All I can say is that probably your DVD player can't decode DTS, but I can't confirm it since this player is not sold where I live (North America). All DVD players have to decode AC3, so this always works. It costs extra money for the manufacturer to make the player decode DTS, so many players do not have this feature.
