I'm looking at both camcorders. If you've seen my other thread, then you knwo I want to use this for low light situations, and I really want 60 fps or higher. Any glaring issues I should know of?

Add the Canon HG20 into the mix. It's a nice camcorder and is in the same price point as well. The popularity of the Canons means accessories (batteries, wide angle lenses, etc) will be easy to find.

Since you want to record several hours of night skiing, you'll want at least 1 extra battery with a cigarette lighter charger.

The Canon can shoot at 60 fields per second, which translates into pretty good looking slow motion footage if you choose to process it that way in post.

Video shot on the ski slopes with a Canon. Not slow motion, but you'll have an idea about the look of the image and how it deals with shakiness. http://www.vimeo.com/2202158

This footage is shot with the $10,000 RED Camera at 120 frames per second. This is some of the best looking slow-mo footage I've seen.

    Not a fair comparison.

Someday a Red consumer model will emerge.

So HG20 is recommended over my other choices? (BTW this looks to fit my needs, for what I will be doing)
