With the most recent anydvd & clone, i am getting a compression error at 99% of the rip. Has anyone else also experience a similiar issue? This is the R-1 disc.

Try dvd fab decrypter. Also you might just have to wait a few more days for the newest encryption to be worked around.

I had no problems backing it up with DVDFAB 5 version 5.1.2.2 - I made an ISO and reproduced it that way. This was not the Blu-ray tho.

I used AnyDVD 6.4.9.0 and DVD Shrink as well, no problems for me...I think mine was RC1 as well, I just told it North America and Canada and had no problems...watched the copy two nights ago and was astounded (I'd never seem the movie before I bought it and ripped the copy to watch)!

I always take out the Spanish, French, and what ever other languages they have in there other than English, and have no problems to shrink the DVD to fit onto a regular DVD5-R...I then burn the VIDEO_TS folder with ImgBurn, and rarely ever do I encounter any problems (aside from the newer encryptions and sneaky stuff that they are doing to pre-owned movies [putting a label on the inner ring of the DVD to make sure that the DVD cannot be copied])...

AnyDVD 6.4.9.0 and DVD Shrink worked for me as well. Though I have a dual layer burner so I never use Shrink to reduce it. I just back it up to an ISO and burn it out.

oh, heh... version 3.2 is the latest I think, but check the tools section of this website or www.dvdshrink.org to be sure, and then just go from there...

BTW, AnyDVD is now up to 6.4.9.2, so that might help with your backup as well...get the update and you should be able to rock and roll from there on...
