Hello, I have been reading up on the effects of bluetooth and notice that there is a lack of evidence to suggest its damaging to your health, however, officials tell you to keep it's use to a minimum. I have also noticed that the effects of bluetooth are paired with mobile phones, but don't consoles like PS3 here generate different kinds of signals that are less damaging? I have also read that wired headsets are more dangerous than bluetooth ones although they are again paired with mobile phones. I want to know, for a console, will the effects of bluetooth be as damaging on mobile phones or not? And also, will a usb headset benefit me more if so?

(P.S - Yes I know PS3 controllers use bluetooth, but headsets go on your head, next to your brain)

    Damaging in what sense?
I'm not sure how a wired headset could be worse as there are no radio signals/"radiation".

I don't know. How could they make full size over the ears type of bluetooth headsets if there could be lingering damaging effects?

I have been considering investing in bluetooth headphones for my ps3 and pc for better clarity over the mhz/ghz type. I had not considered any health impacts.

Should there be any? Or is this like the whole cell phone debate where there is no clear cut answers?

I know that mobile signals are a lot worse and the bluetooth headsets are no where near as damaging, but there is not enough evidence to support that claim. I also read that wired headsets are worse then bluetooth headsets but I find that very hard to believe. I can't really find that many wired headsets for the PS3, might have to get a bluetooth headset, but not sure about the health risks.

The only proven health risk is to your hearing (if you don't keep the volume at a reasonable level), but of course, this applies to any headphones, not just Bluetooth. IMO this is the type of crap that "scientists" come up with to try to get government funding to support themselves without having to actually do any real work. If they get turned down they go to the Press, show them the proposal, and warn of the "potential risks". The Press then runs off to "warn the public" and create a "crisis". Then the "scientists" resubmit the proposal, and because of public panic, this time the funding is granted. The study gets done with "inconclusive results" and the process starts all over again.
