Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0 is not able to import video from the built in memory, only from the SD Card. I can read the built in memory with explorer, and Premiere can read it if I choose "Get media from PC files and folders". But if I do that, the files are not moved to the harddisk. Do I have to move the files manually and is there a problem with that apart from having to create folders myself?
I have not installed anything from the Digital Solutions Disk. I'm using vista and the installer only shows ZoomBrowser and image gateway registration guide. I don't need any of those and I don't think they will help in accessing the camara flash memory.
When video is moved from the SD card to harddisk, it looks like only the .MTS files are moved. Is that all I need? There is a whole lot of files on the card. Do they not contain any useful information? Is the time and date for instance incorporated into the MTS file?
