    I am getting my new TV tomorrow. I have a few movies that are Avchd 1080p 8.5gb and burned to a dvd d-l. My question is how is the quility compared to say if i bought the blu-ray movie from a store. thanks.

    The low bitrate (smaller file size) hints that the quality will be lower than your typical BD movie.
