What is the command that the img tab is doing? I'm assuming it has something to do with hdiutil? All of my hdiutil commands seems to create a not-so-compliant image, so I've been using ffmpegX and would like to know what the underlying command being used is. Or, how would I find out what command is being run.

Guess I found my own answer. Looking at an output from making an img, I saw mkisofs. I then did a ps aux | grep mkisofs, and the output was:
    /Applications/ffmpegX.app//Contents/Resources/mkisofs -dvd-video -udf -V DVD_MOVIE -o /video_directory/dvd.img /video_directory

    Good find.
hdiutil is more like the disk image types that Disk Utility can create. Quite versatile, but it does not support creating the UDF file system needed for DVD-Video. Fortunately, mkisofs does support UDF.
