  1. im trying to get the best picture for tv captures i use the automatic recording most of the time so id like to stick with that i dont know if virtual dub has that feature anyway i want to make vcd and their vcd image is ok but fast motion blocks up and i cant get any of the mpeg captures to play back on the aiw software or anything else and wont go in tmpeg no i tried to capture in avi ant then convert in tmpeg and that was perfect no blocks at all the problem is it says i only get 9 minutes of recording im using windows 2000 with fat 32 so i guess 4 gigs is the most i can get does anyone know how i can get mor time in avi format im looking for at a little over an hour recording or maybe someone can help out with the mpeg2 problem . im using a p3 1ghz with a 30gig 7200 and 80 gig 5400 and 256 ram with a creative lab 5.1 sound card so if someone can help pleas post i alredy went through threads about this so please post if you can help me with this

  2. To get rid of the 4 gig limit you have to reformat the drive that you are capturing to, so that its filesystem is NTFS

  3. i thank the only person who responded but the fact that i said i was using fat 32 means i want to keep it and i understand whats going on with that please dont reply to things that are clear im looking for answers some must have this card and had the same problems

  4. Nothing you write is clear. Learn to use periods and people might understand you better.

    The AIW software won't play MPEG-2 files if you don't have the DVD software installed. It doesn't matter if you never intend to use the DVD player, or even if you have one. You still need to load the DVD software if you want to use the ATI software to play MPEG-2 files on your harddrive.

    The Video CD setting for MMC 7.x won't give you very good quality VCD captures. Go to the Tools section on the left and download the ATI AIW Reg Tool. Create a custom VCD setting and then use the tool to tweak it. You can get some very good quality VCD captures this way.

  5. ........are for women anyway im always in a rush when writing so it luck that everything is even spelled wright .........as for the mpeg2 i have the dvd software plus dvd and any other codec installed plus i did not ask about vcd captures i wanted help with avi formats but i guess it was the ........... that messed you up people just like to write to see their names only some have anything to say for those who know it say it for those who dont .....................
