  1. First of all good day.

When recording off TV with Radeon wonder I get a great video picture, but the sound is far from pretty. There is a constant hissing sound that almost overtakes the voices of the rip. Is this the norm? I will say this, when just watching TV the audio is cristal clear no hissing sound at all. For audio I us Line-in, the sound card is onboard off my Soyo Dragon mobo(C-Media). Could that be part of the problem? I do have a Creative 5.1 live sitting in another computer should i try that? Ok thats all for now, if additional info is need i will respond with it.

  2. It is the best to connect your 7500 to your Creative card internally.

  4. I have the same motherboard, and encountered the same problem. I finally just connected the sound through the microphone-in on the motherboard. Works fine that way.

  5. Using the mic in trick has worked for me as well. Not sure why but it has solved some sound card issues with hissing.

  6. On your sound card and your video card, you should have internal CD audio connectors. They look like four tiny holes. You use this small cable to connect them: http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage.asp?image=12-102-104-01.JPG The sound will then go stright from your AIW video card to the sound card. You would do the same if you install a new CD-ROM. Otherwise, your CD-ROM will only function with Windows Media Player, but not other audio-CD playing software.

  7. Jeremy,

Read the original post agian. The problem is not physically making the connection, it is dealing with poor sound quality. For some reason I don't understand, connecting through the internal CD connectors yields poor quality sound on this motherboard (Soyo Dragon+) when using the onboard sound. However, connecting externally through the microphone input works just fine. Maybe something with the C-media drivers? I'd be happy to hear if anyone knows what the problem really is, and a true fix as opposed to the microphone input work-around.

  8. Good day again!

First of all its nice to know i'm not the only one who's encountered this problem. The mic line works for me too, with minimal hissing. Just for sh*ts and giggles i disables the c-media and threw in the 5.1 Live. I connected the AIW to the sound card in the AUX IN bracket. The results to my ear where the same as with the Mic line with the C-media. Thanks again for the prompt responces, its peeps like u that make this the best ripping forum bar none!
