cannot get sony dvd recorder to play any vidios conveted from flv

hello all i have some flv files, i have used super to convert from flv to mpeg, not sure what i should enter in the (output container) have tried various things vcd/vob standard dvd etc.

have tried mpeg1 2 mpeg 4 vidio , i do not know what to set the audio too ,as i have no speakers linked to my pc, and use monitor cable from pc to widescreen tv.

most files play on my ps3, but i cannot get my sony 560 dvd recorder to play any converted flv files ,iot just gives me cannot display title,or cannot play disk.

if i record something from sattelite to the 560 these seem to be vob files ,if i convert flv to vob they still do not seem to be recognised by the sony 560.

some mpeg files give me no audio message when using real player??

i do not know what audio flv files use mpeg/mono /sterio.

i contated sony about the 560 inability to play converted files and was advised (mpeg2) should work ,but the 560 cannot play mpeg2 files.


i am not so much bothered about audio but some format must surely work with the 560.
