So I'm tinkering with the idea of getting some bluetooth headphones. I used to have some 900mhz wireless headphones but they were bulky and quit working.
Is bluetooth subject to any interference like the 2.4ghz or 5.4ghz wireless types are?
The two things I was planning on using them with were my ps3 and my computer. I have a bluetooth adapter for my computer so I could use that to connect the headphones. Would any bluetooth headphones work with a ps3?
Also can you get a transmitter to adapt to a nonbluetooth device like a normal stereo amplifier?
The thing is I'd only be able to use the ps3 or the pc with the bluetooth headphones. Whereas if I got standard 2.4ghz or 5.4ghz wireless headphones I'd be able to connect them to anything with a headphone jack.
I did see bestbuy has some sony branded bluetooth headphones at 50.00 (slashed from a 100.00 - possible discontinued item?). Would that be something to consider?
Or should I consider sticking to the ghz wireless system?
FYI I don't have any portable electronics that are bluetooth enabled (my Zune isn't). I do have a cell phone that has bluetooth but I don't ever plan to use it as I don't talk with it in my car ever.
Suggestions are welcome.
(by the way are bluetooth headphones too new of an area to dive into right now?)
