  1. Let's say I create a TMPGEnc project, then convert it to an AVI by running the VFAPI converter. Which parameters in TMPGEnc are ignored, and which are used? For instance, if I have "highest quality (very slow)" for quality, does this affect the VFAPI AVI? Also, if I set to "very fast," is there a difference in how fast frameserving takes place to my encoder? Any thoughts?

  2. Only the resizing, filters, and interlace type matter. Anything to do with the conversion to MPEg do not matter.

So on the Video page, Size, Aspect and Frame rate matter - nothing else does.

On the advanced page, everything matters.

On the GOP, Quantize matrix and Audio pages, nothing matters
