  1. Hello,

I recently captured from Movies and DV and VHS..

I created a project in Premiere 6.0 and exported the 1 hr long project into a Microsoft DV AVI.

it tunred out to be around 16 gigs! No biggie.

But now.. I understand if I want to author it into a DVDr (which I want to do).. I will have to convert it to mpeg2 format. TMPGEnc Won't let me do it. When I try to select the DV AVI file I exported from Premiere.. it says it's unsupported! ahh! Please help with any suggestions or work arounds! Thanks!

  2. From an earlirer post of mine:

"I also use Premiere and TMPGEnc with DV AVI and remember I had this problem also. I solved it by installing the MainConcept demo codec. This codec adds a "watermark" when it encodes but does not change anything when decoding. TMPGEnc was then able to read the DV AVI files."
