  1. ok i ripped original dvd to hard drive... then i checked it out with ifo edit nothing had changed .... burnt back with nero and it works perfect in my pioneer player but not my sony or ps2... these players play everything else... i tried to re burn with gear but when inserting files to create new dvd video it wouldnt accept them saying a start address had already been taken up. by the way it did take some files..
my pioneer plays dvdrw and i tested with this and then copied from the dvdrw disk to dvdr.. this wouldnt have nothing to do with it would it..
the film by the way was cinderella 2 and like i say perfect in one player but disk cannot be played comes up on my other player...
    any ideas????

  2. I have 2 DVD Players, THe Pioneer DV-440 and a Sony DVP 550D. Both play DVD-R, DVD-RW and VCDs, though the Sony only plays CD-RW VCDs, the 440 however plays CD-R and CD-RW VCDs, and SVCDs even and odd 720x480 DVD Spec dumped onto a CD-RW for experiement ( it choked on it playback was stuttering ).

I use Ulead DVD Movie Factory, only playback of a DVD-R or RW if it has been reencoded I get MPG in the window, if however I just decrypt and burn ( assuming it all fits ) it like the factory DVD. Spruce Up also authors and Burns well. Nero works well once the files have been preauthored and made into the the proper directories. I have tried various media as well in DVD-R, TDK, Memorix, Pioneer, Apple, Great Quality, and all so far play back in both units.
