Hi...i have a 52" JVC HD-52z525 that can accomodate up to 1080i...i just bought a Samsung BD-P1500 & have them both hooked up via HDMI...they dont seem to want to communicate...nothing...no picture...nada...but i did connect them vai a A/V cable & just got a poor dvd quality picture...ive tried every configuration in each of the set up pages to no avail...is it just a matter of pressing the correct buttons in the correct order or should i just return the BR player?? thanks for the input...

It should work. The TV only has 720p resolution, but that isn't the problem. It also likely isn't a bad player, but you can try swapping it and the cable for that matter. This being an older TV with early HDMI, there may be an HDCP issue between the player and TV.
