I have a Sony DVP-CX985V 400-disc DVD player. It uses a function called Disc Explorer to display a menu/list of all of the DVDs in the player. This player has the ability to read dvds and display their titles. [as well as a little thumbnail of the movie] At least so it seems....

Only relatively new DVDs have the information on the title that this player is looking for. Since I am backing up my DVDs anyway, I thought I would go ahead and add the title information to the disc image while I am at it. I can probably take a disc that has the title information already encoded on it and find out where it's stored and manually type the title information into the same places on the DVDs that don't have this information.

But I am working on a 1ghz pc right now and this is very time consuming. So I was hoping someone here might have already done something along these lines. I searched the forum and couldn't find anything on this...

    Thanks in advance.

Okay, I downloaded it and it works great!

I notice that I am able to put in specific detail about a movie, genre, actor, etc.

However, the thumbnail that appears next to the title is erased if I edit the title and add more detail.

e.g. I am backing up a movie out of my collection. In my jukebox the original movie only has a thumbnail and no title, genre, etc. I then make a backup and use titlewriter to add the title, genre etc. and now the backup copy shows the title, genre, etc. but no longer displays a thumbnail when displayed in the jukebox.

Snooped around in TitleWriter a bit and didn't see where something like that would be held.

    Any ideas?

Talk about raising the dead -- The Thumbnails are in the jacket_p folder --You are not copying them to the final "burn" dvd. Not all Dvds have this folder - and I haven't seen a reliable way to create the files from a bitmap
