i previously had 2005, both versions of 2005 installed on my pc. i recently installed 2008, both versions. i then uninstalled the x64 version of 2005 bcz i was installing something that auto-installs it and i end up with two instances of it. i ended up not installing whatever i was doing then went to reinstall the 2005 x64 version, but it only tried to install the 2008 x64 version.
do i need both the 2005 and 2008 versions of each, or just 2008?
thx,
rlr

Both. The version needed by any particular program depends on the version of the compiler used to create it.
