Sex furniture: Do you own the Esse or the Tantra chair?

Sex chairs cost a lot of money.

Sex furniture, also known as 'bedroom adventure gear'...has anyone here purchased the Esse or the Tantra chair?

Both are expensive.

The Esse, made by Liberator, is made out of foam and costs $4-500 with shipping.

The Tantra chair is made out of wood and costs a whopping $1200!

If you're an owner of of either of these chairs I have some questions for you before I place my order with Liberator or Tantra.

Some ideas on how to try and get a better price on the pricey Esse or Tantra (but you better act fast, by tomorrow):

I once went to a foam company to find out how much they'd charge me for the foam that would replicate the combination Wedge/Ramp. The combo Wedge/Ramp is another delightful bedroom accessory that Liberator sells. To my great dismay, I was surprised, and let down, to find out that the cost for the whole job was just about what Liberator was charging for it. That estimate included more than just the cost of the foam. It included the cost of labor for them to lay out, fabricate and cut the foam to the exact size of the angular Wedge/Ramp.

I certainly hope that doesn't stop other people out there from trying to make their own Esse or their own Wedge/Ramp. I live in California, so maybe foam and labor is expensive compared to other places around the country.

The Tantra is made out of wood, Liberator's adventure gear is made out of foam.

I think the mark up on Liberator's and Tantra's bedroom chair is on the high side. That makes sense seeing as how they have a virtual monopoly on this particular item. It is definitely a buyer-unfriendly/sellers market when it comes to this type of chair, and that does not bode well for those of us who like to save money.

The Esse, something I'm thinking of purchasing, costs $375. The Stage costs $185. (If you're tall, say 6 foot or so, you might need the Stage to increase the height of the Esse. The Stage is a 9 inch high platform, so to speak). So...with shipping, I'd be looking at $600 for the combo Esse/Stage! That's a good chunk of change!!

But...tomorrow, 11-30-2008, is Cyber Monday, the online equivalent of Black Friday!!!

Tomorrow I'll call Liberator and Tantra. I'm going to ask them if they're offering any Cyber Monday discounts. I really hope that they'll offer a Black Friday/Cyber Monday type discount to the public (typically, BF/CM discounts are anywhere from 25-50%).

I called Liberator last Friday, but I guess since it was the day after Thanksgiving they were closed. I wanted to ask them if they were offering a Black Friday discount.

IF NEITHER COMPANY OFFERS A CYBER MONDAY DISCOUNT (SAY 25-50% OFF) I'LL EXPLORE THE POSSIBILITY OF HAVING THE TANTRA BUILT BY A FURNITURE MAKER. I'LL FIND A FURNITURE BUILDER ON CRAIGSLIST. I MIGHT BE ABLE TO HAVE IT BUILT FOR $300-500.
